A fitting homecoming is already being planned for Lil Wayne. The day after he is expected to be released from jail, the Cash Money rapper will celebrate by throwing a welcome home concert.
Drizzy Drake made the announcement during his Ustream session on Thursday, saying it would take place on November 5, but an exact location was not disclosed. Drizzy has a show the day before in Los Angeles and the day after in Las Vegas. Lil Wayne is serving his time at Rikers Island in New York.
“Undisclosed location, November 5, the Welcome Home Weezy concert,” said Wayne’s protégé while sipping on Pinot Grigio in his Toronto crib. “You might as well camp out at all different locations. That’s gonna be crazy.”
Lil Wayne has been serving time for weapons charges since March. He is expected to be released on November 4. His EP, I Am Not a Human Being, will arrive on his 28th birthday on September 27.
As a Security Consultant I’d like to offer a suggestion for location of Drake’s next free concert. First, the venue should be in an area that is conducive to 25,000, or more fans. Next, a collaboration of efforts are necessary. NYC is a great venue. As a former law enforcement officer, former NYC Parks Enforcement Officer, current PI lady, I would like to volunteer my services with my team to assist with making this event safe, successful, organized and an event to remember. Thank you.
Drake can I show you my Dougie ha ha ha
