Rihanna’s Brother Speaks On Drake And RiRi Almost Married

Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

21yr old Rorrey Fenty, Rihanna‘s brother, speaks on Riri’s love life to Heat magazine a couple days ago. In his interview with Heat magazine, Rorrey gives details about how his sister dealt with the public break-up with Chris Brown and on how Drake almost became his brother-in-law. Transcript of the interview is after the jump. Let us know what you think, you think this is true or false?

Rorrey On Rihanna’s Relationship With Chris Brown:
“Rihanna and Chris Brown were great together, they were like soul mates. It’s a very sensitive subject – I just blank it out and I think she blanks it out, too.”

“When she looks unhappy, it’s not because of her missing Chris, it’s because of how hectic her lifestyle is – she sometimes does 13-hour days.”

On Rihanna’s Relationship With Drake:
“Rihanna doesn’t have a boyfriend right now. Drake and Rihanna used to be together – and he’s a pretty cool dude.”

“I was in a club in LA, and he saw me and came over. I was nearly his brother-in-law, but I didn’t know him so well, so I was touched by that.”

On Protecting His Sister:
“I’ve always been protective of her. Certain guys will be looking at her or coming on to her, and I tell them to move away and be careful not to bother her.”

“We don’t have a drinking age in Barbados, so we started partying at 14 years old.” [Sources differ on whether their is a legal drinking age in Barbados. The general consensus is that the age is 18 but anyone between the ages 10-18 can be served a drink if accompanied by their parents - a practice that is pretty common in the Caribbean]

On Rihanna’s dreams of getting married:
“I just want her to be happy. She has talked to me about getting married and having children. She plans on settling down, but she wants to focus on her career. She needs a man who likes to do the stuff she likes doing, someone laidback and fun-loving.”

“There are a million guys across the world waiting to take her out, but she says they are more intimidated by her than anything else.”

Nicki Minaj Discusses Marrying Drake (Video)

Wednesday, January 26th, 2011

Check out what Nicki Minaj has to say about marrying Drizzy Drake.

“My mother in law would be super beautiful because Drake’s mom is freaking amazing. I love her,” she continued. “They’ll have Drake’s intelligence, his sarcastic wittiness that I love about him. They’ll have his song writing skills. I think we’ll just make a creative bunch of kids. wait did I just say me and Drake we’ll make kids? I think that would be like incest or something. “ – Onika [via Tim Westwood]

Yeah, because we really want to think of incest when it comes to the baby-making process with Onika. Good grief.

Drake’s Mom Thought His Twitter Marriage Was Real!

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010

In case you haven’t heard, click here to read how Drizzy Drake and Nicki Minaj tied the knot via twitter. This turned out to be just a joke, but check out what People magazine reported about Drizzy Drake‘s mother being mistaken about the situation:

Rapper Drake had the Web buzzing when he and his Young Money label-mate Nicki Minaj Tweeted last month that they suddenly got married.

“Please refer to @nickiminaj as Mrs. Aubrey Drake Graham and don’t stare at her too long,” the rapper Tweeted on Aug. 27. “She’s finally mine.”

“Yes, it’s true,” Minaj, 25, added via Twitter. “Drake and I tied the knot.”

But no one was more surprised to hear the supposed big news than the rapper’s mother.

“My mom was actually like, ‘What happened? How did you elope?’ ” the rapper, 23, told PEOPLE at the MTV Movie Awards Sunday. “But we were just joking around. I never thought it would get so out of hand.”

This wasn’t the first time that Mama Drake likely wondered about her son’s romantic life – last year, he was rumored to be dating Rihanna. And it didn’t help matters when Drake bought himself a certain piece of jewelry around the time of the wedding Tweets.

“Ironically, I got a ring for myself, so people were like, ‘Aw, you got married, and you have a ring you’re wearing,” he says.

Drake’s seemingly innocent joke also had some additional backlash beyond his worried mom.

“People still think it’s real,” he says. “I’ll look at a girl, and she’ll be like, ‘You’re a married man. You shouldn’t look at me that way.’ “

Nicki Minaj Calls Drake Twitter Marriage ‘Mischievous’

Monday, September 6th, 2010

Drizzy Drake is just my little brother, and I kid with him all the time,’ Minaj says.

Nicki Minaj promises there were no "Drickis" born in the 24 hours she and Drake were "married." This past weekend, Nick called into Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 and spoke to DJ Drama about a myriad of topics, including her recent Twitter marriage to (and divorce from) her fellow Young Money rapper.

"Drake is just my little brother, and I kid with him all the time," said Nicki, who will be performing at this year’s VMA pre-show. "We were just being crazy. I think we were a little bit bored. There’s really never a dull moment. I wouldn’t say we were bored; I would say we were being mischievous.

"I was doing an interview, and every day, I see some things written about me that aren’t true," she added. "I wanted to give the blogs a bit of payback and put my own story out."

When asked if she were still single, Nicki coyly answered, "I’m always single. I don’t date boys. I don’t like boys. It’s true. I don’t change. I think boys are yucky, and that’s it. Nothing more to say."

When it comes to the kings of hip-hop, however, Minaj had plenty to say — especially when she’s on a track with them. Nicki recently appeared on the Kanye West/ Jay-Z collaboration "Monster," which also guest-stars Rick Ross and Bon Iver. Minaj has gained a swell of support from fans who say she has the song’s show-stealing verse.

"I’ve just been blessed to be on a song with two living legends. In my book, Jay and Kanye are icons, and I never in a billion years would have thought I would be on a song with one of them, let alone both of them," she said. "I’m happy people think I murdered the record. It just feels exciting to be a part of that collab. Seriously."

Nicki also revealed that she has moved to Los Angeles and is still hard at work on her debut LP, Pink Friday. That means no days off — even on Labor Day.

"I know a lot is riding on this album," she said. "I wanna make everybody proud. There are some people that are rooting for me out there. I wanna go in."
